Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing will vary depending on job size, scope of work and materials involved. It is our priority to give the fairest prices based on the situation at hand.

2. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, we must identify the source of the water loss, if the leak is ongoing, it must be stopped to prevent further damage before assessing. We will then assess the water damage using a high-tier moisture meter to create a map of affected material. From there, we will sit down with the homeowner to discuss options to move forward and answer any questions about cost, timeframe, and insurance.

3. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

IICRC certifications for both Water Restoration Technician(WRT), and Applied Structural Drying(ASD).

4. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

       1. HAVE URGENCY! The longer the water sits before extracting and drying, the more damage will be caused. Not to mention, waiting longer to address the issue will cause issues with getting your insurance claim approved.

       2. Do NOT file an insurance claim without first consulting a professional to avoid risks of claim denial.

       3. During a water loss, if it is within your power, stop the source of the ongoing leak as soon as possible.

5. Should I file an insurance claim?/Will I get help filing?

This question troubles many homeowners during a water loss. The short answer is that there are a few factors to consider when making a decision to file a claim...

       1. How much is my deductible?

       2. How costly is the scope of work?

       3. How many claims for my home have I filed in the past?

       4. Have I responded to this situation with urgency?

The answers to these questions will help determine a logical plan of whether or not to file a claim with your provider. If the cost of the job is lower than your deductible, self-pay may be a stronger consideration. If the leak has been ongoing for several weeks, or months, your chances of getting your claim approved are weakened. It is for these reasons and others that you consult a professional before filing a claim with your insurance company.
